ḈḁṇṇḁḇḭṦḼ ŞųɱɱȇƦ Ḉŭᵽ Ḉőɱᵽȇţįţįőņ!

The ḈḁṇṇḁḇḭṦḼ Team is proud to announce the First Annual ḈḁṇṇḁḇḭṦḼ ŞųɱɱȇƦ Ḉŭᵽ Ḉőɱᵽȇţįţįőņ! This event will promote creativity, advanced breeding strategies, and help inject a little excitement into what is usually a "slow" time in Second Life, and get us all through the SL "Summertime Blues."

Working from a common basic LE, breeders will compete for prizes (and bragging rights) in several categories:
  1. The MAD MAX award for the highest height, potency, and growth rate,
  2. MINI MED for the smallest weighted size,
  3. CHRONIC CRUSH for the highest potency,
  4. SPEEDY GONZALES for the fastest-growing hybrid, and
  5. DRIVEN SNOW for the highest generation achieved with statistically pure plants.
THE RULES

A special ḈḁṇṇḁḇḭṦḼ ŞųɱɱȇƦ Ḉŭᵽ LE, CHARLOTTES WEB, will be released for a limited time. The basic CHARLOTTES WEB plant is very low potency, slow growing, and relatively small. The odds of all the usual mutations (superweed, ultra, bright, and foliage inheritance) are the same as all other 4.19.903 ḈḁṇṇḁḇḭṦḼ plants.

Competitive breeding will focus on developing this LE to achieve one of the category goals listed above. During the contest period, competitors may hybridize or inbreed their ŞųɱɱȇƦ Ḉŭᵽ LEs in any way they choose.

The competition will run from 7 July to 15 August. Entries will be accepted no later than 7 PM SLT on 15 August. The location and method for submitting entries will be announced in the ḈḁṇṇḁḇḭṦḼ Growers and Breeders Group approximately one week before the competition closes.

One entry will be accepted per contestant. The category of competition must be declared by the contestant. For example, if a plant is entered in the "Chronic Crush" category, it cannot be considered for "Mad Max," "Speedy Gonzales," or another category regardless of how it might place compared to declared entries in those categories.

Entries must display only the ŞųɱɱȇƦ Ḉŭᵽ LE foliage and FX, and inspection of the entry's parents must show no other foliage and FX but those from the original ŞųɱɱȇƦ Ḉŭᵽ LE. [In other words, plan your last few generations around "cleaning up" the foliage and FX!]

At the end of the contest period, competitors will submit one plant, male or female, paused between 90-99% maturity. [Some extremely fast growing entries in the "Speedy Gonzales" and "Mad Max" categories may need to be grown without food for the last statistical growth period to do this. For example, a plant with 20% growth rate would have to be removed from food at 80% maturity and grown at one percent default growth rate for about ten cycles to put it between 90-99%.]

The plant's stats will be used to determine its score. For Mini Med and Mad Max categories, the height and width of the plant will be averaged together to determine the overall size score. For Driven Snow, the plant with the highest generation and all stats (glow, brightness, height and width, potency, and growth rate) closest to the original wins.

Have fun!
